Our Team

Northway Animal Emergency Clinic is staffed with experienced, passionate, and caring veterinarians, licensed veterinary technicians, assistants and client care specialists. Our priority is being here to ensure you have access to the best available urgent veterinary care in Upstate New York.

NAEC was founded in 2001 by a group of dedicated local primary care veterinarians with a desire to be an extension to the local veterinary community. We pride ourselves on having state of the art equipment such as a full-service in-house laboratory, digital cytology, oxygen chamber, and diagnostic imaging.

What to Expect

It is important to us that you and your pet have the best experience and care possible!

Upon arrival, you will be greeted by one of our receptionists who will assist you and your pet when checking them in for their visit. After check in, one of our technicians will bring you into an examination room for triage. One of our doctors will then perform a physical examination on your pet, and a treatment plan will be tailored to your pet for your approval.

If your pet is experiencing a life-threatening emergency, they will be immediately brought to the doctor and ER Team to be assessed at check in. Please note, due to the unexpected nature of emergencies, there may be a wait for non-critical, stable patients to be seen. Wait times may be unpredictable due to potential unexpected critical cases arriving, which do take precedence. Should this be the case, our lobby is equipped with a coffee and tea station, magazines and television for your comfort.
