The NAEC is a full service emergency & critical care hospital that is fully capable of handling any emergency situation you may encounter with your pet. The veterinary staff at NAEC treats dogs, cats, rabbits, ferrets, as well as other smaller pocket pets, birds and reptiles. Our hospital features an on site laboratory and pharmacy, an in-house surgical suite with full monitoring capabilities, radiology room, and ultrasound unit. The intensive care unit is equipped with everything needed to perform clinical procedures, hospitalization and continuous care of critical cases, a full supply of blood products, and offers oxygen cages.
The in-house laboratory allows us to run full chemistries, electrolytes and blood counts in order to get results in just minutes.
Our surgical suite offers 2 surgical tables both with anesthetic machines, a ventilator and full surgical monitoring equipment. All of our veterinarians are trained to handle a wide variety of emergency surgeries such as foreign body removals, cesarean sections, laceration repairs, gastric torsions, as well as many others.
NAEC has recently added a new digital x –ray unit. The radiology room allows us to take high quality, diagnostic x-rays as well as many different contrast studies.Digital radiagraphy allows us to bring up images from any computer in the hospital and save them to a CD-ROM.
