Greg Bayan, DVM |
Dr. Greg Bayan grew up in New Brunswick, NJ and graduated from Rutgers University with a bachelor’s degree in zoology in 1977. He received his veterinary degree from Cornell University in 1982. After a few years in private small animal practice in New Jersey, he moved back to upstate NY and practiced in Rhinebeck and Glens Falls before joining the staff of the Capital District Animal Emergency Clinic where he practiced for 19 years. Dr. Bayan started at NAEC in early 2010 and we are proud to have him full time as a valued member of our team. Dr. Bayan resides nearby in Moreau with his wife Laurie, daughter Chistina, and stepson Devon, along with two dogs, three cats, one parakeet, and a garden pool full of goldfish and Koi. He loves the great outdoors, enjoys playing guitar, woodcarving and do-it-yourself projects around the house. |
Matt Brunke, DVM, CCRP, CVPP (Candidate) |
Dr. Matt Brunke is originally from Queens, NY. He received his B.S. in Animal Science from Cornell University in 2000. Dr. Brunke then attended Ross University, and after completing his clinical rotations at Purdue University, he received his D.V.M. in 2004. Dr. Brunke has practiced in the Capital District since graduation, doing general practice, emergency medicine and surgery, as well as orthopedic surgery.
Dr. Brunke has completed certification in rehabilitation, orthopedic surgery and stem cell therapy. He managed a rehabilitation practice in Albany for 5 years, and enjoys working with both acute and chronic problems. He is currently finishing his certification in pain management. In his spare time, Dr. Brunke enjoys training and competing in triathlons and running events. He also enjoys traveling and cooking. | Kimberly Linendoll, DVM | Dr. Kimberly Linendoll is one of NAEC’s original staff members having joined our team when the clinic opened in 2001. She graduated from Ross University in 1999. Following graduation she completed an internship at The Metropolitan Veterinary Hospital in Akron, Ohio. She then went on to practice in Louisville, Kentucky where she trained in emergency medicine at Louisville Veterinary Specialty and Emergency Services. Dr. Linendoll lives at home with her husband Tim, their cats Fred, Sharon Osborn, and the 2 Bo Brothers along with the ever-loving Ginger the dog. Jodi Novak, DVM |
Dr. Jodi Novak attended Cornell University College of Veterinary Medicine, graduating in 2000. She then completed a rotating internship focusing on emergency/critical care medicine, surgery, and internal medicine at the VCA Emergency Animal Hospital and Referral Center of San Diego. Following her internship, she remained in southern California practicing emergency medicine over the next two years. Wishing to be closer to family, Dr. Novak relocated to the Capital Region joining our staff as a full time emergency veterinarian in 2003. With a growing family at home, she became a part time staff veterinarian in late 2006. Dr. Novak and her beloved husband, Aaron, share their house with 3 feisty children, an assortment of furry four legged friends, and four funny feathered hens. Ciera took the management position at NAEC in late 2007 after having worked as a veterinary technician with the practice for over 5 years. She graduated from SUNY Delhi in 2000 with an AAS in Veterinary Technology and Becker College in 2002 with a BS in Veterinary Science. She received her certification as a veterinary technician specialist focusing in emergency in critical care in 2006. Ciera enjoys downhill skiing, reading, traveling, and spending time at home with her husband Travis, son Landon, and their 4-legged children Manny, Marley, Zeke, and Hemi the cat. Whitney Friedrich, LVT |
Whitney joined our NAEC staff in 2011. Although she has worked here part time for 2 years she is the newest member of our full time team. She received her AS in Liberal Arts at SUNY Adirondack in 2006. She then went on to graduate from SUNY Canton in 2008 with an AAS in Veterinary Technology. It was her love of animals and desire to help that inspired her to become a veterinary technician. She shares her home with three crazy dogs (Caylee, Alize, and Rayah), three cats and four turtles. When she’s not at work she enjoys spending her free time hiking, biking, running and quilting. |
Mylissa Corlew, LVT (Director of Technicians) |
Mylissa graduated from SUNY Canton in 2003 with her associate’s degree in applied science focusing on veterinary technology. She has been interested in emergency medicine since graduation. She attended the University at Albany and obtained her bachelors degree focusing on biology and a minor in business in May of 2007. She has been employed with the Northway Animal Emergency Clinic since February of 2006. She recently attended the emergency and critical care symposium held in New Orleans, LA this past September. She strives to better her education and technical skills in order to provide the best critical care nursing that she can offer. |
Rebecca Tebbutt, LVT |
Rebecca joined our NAEC team in December of 2007. She received her A.A.S. degree from SUNY Canton with emphasis in Veterinary Science in 2006. Although she is new to the emergency world, Rebecca has worked with animals since 1999 and loves critical care nursing. She enjoys hiking, swimming in the summer and snowshoeing in the winter. Rebecca shares her home with one of our previous house cats “Charlie” & “Bubbatundi” a very handsome Yorkie. |
Sarah Wilkes, LVT |
Sarah started working at NAEC as a LVT in 2010, and has discovered her passion for emergency medicine. She has over 10 years of veterinary experience in farm and companion animals. She graduated with a B.S. in Animal Science from Virginia Tech in 2004, and most recently an A.A.S in Veterinary Technology in 2009. Sarah and her husband, Crafton, moved from Southwest Virginia to the Adirondacks in 2006. They have 4 fur babies which include 3 dogs, Angus, Dooly and Jordan, and one cat, Nemo. She enjoys traveling, hiking, cross-country skiing, music, knitting, and just enjoying life. |

Suzie has been employed here at NAEC since May 2007. She is a SUNY Canton graduate, receiving her AAS in Veterinary Science in 2005. Suzie enjoys spending time at home with her husband Anthony , her daughter Allyson, & the newest member of the family her son Coldyn. She also shares her home with her 2 dogs; Haven & Maria, and her cat Healthcliff |
| Taber Korosec, LVT | Taber Jane Korosec graduated from SUNY Delhi with her Associates in Animal Science in May 2004. Since graduation, she has worked as a licensed veterinary technician at the Capital District Animal Emergency Clinic and graduated with her Certificate in Massage Therapy in May of 2008. Taber worked at NAEC over the winter of 2011, becoming a full time member of the team in the spring of 2012. She brings lots of critical care experience as well as her knowledge of message to better help the patients of NAEC. Taber works as a licensed massage therapist part time and fills the rest of her time with cycling, reading, traveling, and sewing toys for her 7 cats: Holly, Winnie, Slim, Palmer, Missy, Kizzy, and Zombie. |
